Hi everyone,
We’re co-hosting the second edition of Ripple — the open-source showcase series by OASIS — along with our partners at ImpactYaan, this time featuring SAMAAJA: a civic tech platform we’ve helped shape, and more importantly, one we’ve used to strengthen grassroots action.
Date: 23rd July
Time: 10 AM – 1 PM
Venue: Samagata Foundation, Church Street, Bangalore
Register: Events
At Reap Benefit, Samaaja has become the digital backbone to engage over 1.2 lakh youth across 10 states — enabling them to take civic action, access mentorship, and build their changemaker journeys.
It also powers Samaajdata, a bottom-up data platform with 9.4+ lakh hyperlocal data points (on water, waste, heat, air), co-created by 14+ civil society organizations.
One example: the Jaldoot program in Assam, where 24,000 youth across 5,000 villages took 14,200+ civic actions. (More on Jaldoot here)
“Villagers came to thank me. That day, I felt what real impact looks like.” – Solve Ninja, 17, Lakhimpur
The event will include a live demo, hands-on session, real-world use cases, and an AMA with the makers. If you work with youth, community, data, or open-source tech for good — we’d love to see you or your team there.

Hope to see you there.
Warmly,
