We are pleased to announce that the Bioregional Centre of Excellence will be hosting Sahjeevan Samvaad at the Jagriti Enterprise Centre – Purvanchal.
This two-day dialogue focuses on the growing challenge of crop loss caused by wildlife such as Nilgai and Wild Boar in Purvanchal’s agricultural landscape. With rising conflict between farming livelihoods and wildlife presence, there is an urgent need to explore practical, community-driven solutions that reflect local realities.
Sahjeevan Samvaad aims to bring together farmers, FPOs, ecologists, government representatives, civil society, and legal experts to share experiences, deepen understanding, and collectively build a menu of context-specific strategies for reducing the impact of wildlife on farming. The dialogue will also inform future pilot interventions, capacity building, and policy recommendations for the region.
