Hi everyone, the Bengaluru Heat Collective is being launched on 15th July 2026, Wednesday 3 PM to 6 PM, as a platform for shared learning, coordinated action, and long-term resilience-building.
Rising heat is no longer a passing seasonal concern, it is an emerging urban challenge that affects public health, worker productivity, infrastructure, housing, mobility, and the everyday wellbeing. The Bengaluru Heat Collective is a cohort of 11 organisations coming together to shape Bengaluru’s evolving heat resilience landscape: ARTPARK, Bengaluru Sustainability Forum, C40 Cities, CSTEP, Hasiru Dala, HeatWatch, Jan Sahas, KHPT, NIMHANS, Socratus Corporation, and WRI India.
The launch is being hosted at Science Gallery Bengaluru and will feature a panel discussion on lived experiences of heat, featuring voices from communities most affected by rising temperatures, a charter signing, an introduction by government dignitaries to Bengaluru’s participation in a national programme for Building Heat Resilient Cities, a screening of the film Our City, Our Climate, and interactive activities.
