This talk will be a dirge on what rivers have become when development meets unbridled consumerism, weaving its way around history and modern ‘solutions’ to problems.

S Vishwanath is the Founder Trustee of Biome Environmental Trust, and has been working in the field of water for over 30 years. He is the architect of the Million Wells for Bengaluru campaign, and advocates a community-centric and livelihood-based approach to water conservation.
