Join Us for an Inspiring Dialogue: Voices of the Earth and Voices of the People
We are thrilled to invite you to a unique session tomorrow, October 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, where design, community, and sustainability come together in conversation.
Sushma Iyengar will share her deep insights on community-led initiatives, traditional crafts, and how local knowledge empowers people. Her work highlights how rooted practices can create meaningful impact and nurture resilience within communities.
Ar. Aditya Sharma will present his visionary work on Mittivanam, exploring how ecological thinking and landscape wisdom guide sustainable design. His approach demonstrates how design can harmonize with the environment while fostering systemic change.
Together, they will explore the theme: ‘Voices of the Earth and Voices of the People’—a dialogue that roots design in community, sustainability, and systemic thinking. This session is an opportunity to delve into the idea of embracing individuality—whether of people, communities, or ecosystems—and weaving it into a larger pattern. By recognizing uniqueness while fostering connection, balance, and collaboration, we can envision a shared future where diversity is celebrated and collaboration becomes a natural outcome.
This is more than a talk—it’s a journey into understanding how design can honor people, place, and planet simultaneously. Whether you’re a student, practitioner, or simply curious about community-centered and sustainable design, this session promises insights, inspiration, and actionable ideas.
