Dakshin Foundation is co-hosting ‘Building Community Tech for Climate Action’ - a day-long workshop in Bengaluru on 4th July 2025, in collaboration with Aapti Institute and Aruvu Collaboratory.

This workshop brings together practitioners, researchers, and community members to explore how lived experiences can inform more just, inclusive, and grounded approaches to climate action. The day will feature:

  • Conversations on fairness, equity, and governance in climate data
  • A focus on the role of grassroots communities in shaping climate action
  • Reflections on governance principles for community-led technology

We will present our work on Community-Based Fisheries Management (CBFM) in Lakshadweep through a case study and posters. Our Founder Trustee, Naveen Namboothri, will also join a panel discussion on community knowledge and governance.
