CALL FOR OBSERVERS FOR FEATURE-LENGTH DOCUMENTARIES AND DOCUMENTARY SHORTS

The Observer Programme at greenstories is designed for filmmakers working in wildlife and environmental storytelling. It offers a unique opportunity to engage with mentoring labs, pitching sessions, masterclasses, and curated networking spaces—providing valuable insight into how documentary projects are shaped, strengthened, and supported.

Observers are encouraged to actively participate, learn from the process, and engage with peers and mentors, while maintaining strict confidentiality of all participating projects. We strongly recommend that applicants have a project in development, as this will allow them to meaningfully apply their learnings. The programme is envisioned as a pathway for observers to return with their own projects in future editions.

A total of 8 observers will be selected for feature-length documentary labs, and a total of 2 observers will be selected for documentary shorts labs.
