Imagine a village where every well and spring flows year-round, even in the dry months. That is what we are aiming to by partnering with communities and local governments to regenerate and protect critical water sources.
We apply watershed principles at the water source level through the Comprehensive Sourceshed Development (CSSD) approach to conserve and develop catchment and command areas of water sources.
Measures taken have resulted in a steady increase in the number of wells and springs that have improved as a result of the work. In 599 out of the 1774 villages, all drinking water sources are now perennial.
