Reporting Period: April 2026 to June 2026

Date: 09-10-2026

Output 1: Consolidation and Dissemination of Knowledge:

A Quarter of Learning, Innovation, and Collective Progress!

The Timbaktu Collective continued to advance its work across communication, enterprise development, inclusion, and organisational learning during the quarter.

Stories and Knowledge Sharing: The animation film progressed in the editing, with its musical score nearing completion. The Collective shared 38 Instagram posts and a video celebrating its 35-year journey, along with two editions of Chinnari Nestham, its children’s handbook in this quarter. Enterprise assessment reports were also finalised, offering recommendations to strengthen long-term sustainability. Videos showcasing the cooperatives’ production processes were shared on the Green Rural Economy platform to reach a wider audience.

Strengthening skills in Enterprises: OASiS Lab facilitated a three-day GLIDE workshop on business skills, finance, and markets, covering cost analysis and prototype enterprise development. The training strengthened participants’ understanding of key business concepts and helped them develop roadmaps for starting their own enterprises. The Collective plans to extend these learnings to members of the women’s cooperatives and encourage them to utilise cooperative loans to establish and strengthen their own enterprises.

Advancing Disability Inclusion: Timbaktu Collective and NeoMotion demonstrated the NeoFly wheelchair to the District Collector of Sri Sathya Sai District, Sri A. Shyam Prasad, IAS, to raise awareness about the availability and importance of assistive devices. During the quarter, the team also visited APD in Bengaluru and Vidya Sagar in Chennai to learn from their inclusive rehabilitation practices.

Learning and Leadership: During the quarter, the Collective’s Organisational Development consultants conducted the annual review of its leadership transition and submitted a detailed report to the Board. Mr. C.K. Ganguly, Co-Founder of the Collective, participated in national and international forums, including the IFOAM Organics International World Board meeting in Bonn, the Global Tapestry of Alternatives General Assembly in Bandung, and Vikalp Sangam in Pune, to share the Collective’s experiences and learnings. Ms. Sukanya S. and Ms. Mary V. visited Ranchi to learn from PRADAN’s SoTH model, which emphasises community participation, local ownership, and a place-based approach to development.
