Women are the backbone of India’s farming and agriculture practices. Women shoulder majority of the farm- and crop processing-related tasks, putting in hours of manual labour. Tools, equipment and machinery that can be operated by women and are designed to meet the needs of small-farm holdings are the need of the hour in order to alleviate some of the drudgery of farm operations.
