The Ecological Restoration Alliance (ERA) India is hiring for 5 roles across three organisations.

ERA is an informal partnership of individuals, organisations and groups working together to foster knowledge and practice of ecological restoration of natural ecosystems in India. The goals of the Alliance are to collate and share knowledge, experience, and case studies of ecological restoration of natural ecosystems across India. Through this, it aims to create, expand, inform, and enable civil society, government, and citizenry engaged in appropriate and effective ecological restoration nationwide.

1. Policy Analyst/Senior Policy Analyst

ERA-India is looking for a Policy Analyst/Senior Policy Analyst to synthesise, write, and communicate the approach and learnings of the ERA-India network to policymakers.

Deadline: July 30, 2024

This position will be housed at The Centre for Policy Design (CPD) at Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE).

2. Communications Manager:

3. Project Coordinator

ERA-India is looking for a Project Coordinator (entry-level) who can liaise with members, institutional partners and the other verticals across the alliance, and coordinate efforts between different ERA projects and desks.

4. Ecoregion Research Coordinator

ERA-India is looking for an Ecoregion research coordinator for collating species data, mapping, and networking various resources on the Ecoregions of the Indian subcontinent. The role will involve extensive networking with ERA members as well as with other researchers and institutions.

5. Germination Protocol Researcher

ERA-India is looking for a Germination Protocol Researcher to coordinate a program for collating and researching germination techniques for native species across India. This initiative is linked with the ecoregion resource development with the objective of establishing a comprehensive database of germination protocols. This will also involve extensive networking with existing ERA members, as well as reaching out to other researchers and institutions.
