Output 3: Promotion of Rural Enterprises Incubation Hub
During the quarter, cooperatives promoted by The Timbaktu Collective continued to take rural, sustainable livelihoods to wider platforms through participation in national, state, and local exhibitions.
At the local level, the cooperatives participated in the Kisan Mela at ARS Rekulakunta, and Ragi Kana in Bengaluru, showcasing a wide range of millets, pulses, ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat products, honey, pickles, handloom fabrics, and home care items, rooted in rural sustainable livelihoods.
A special highlight was the Ananta Susthira Vyavasaya Vedika (ASVV) in Anantapur, jointly organised by 18 voluntary organisations along with the Timbaktu Collective. Farmers from the cooperatives and the Collective’s founders came together to share their experiences and perspectives. Cultural teams brought the event alive with local art forms, while millet-based meals were prepared and served, highlighting the connection between organic farming, healthy diets, and creating opportunities to connect directly with consumers and promote sustainable, locally produced goods.
