NovoEarth powered by InvoViron Industries is a cleantech startup committed to solving two pressing global challenges—plastic pollution and poultry feather waste—by creating value-added, biodegradable alternatives to conventional plastics. Established with the vision of enabling a future free from single-use plastics, the company is pioneering the development of bio-based polymers derived from keratin protein extracted from waste chicken feathers, one of the largest underutilized agro-industrial byproducts.
Every year, millions of tons of single-use plastic enter landfills and oceans, while poultry processing generates massive quantities of chicken feathers that are often incinerated or disposed of improperly, leading to environmental hazards. NovoEarth’s proprietary technology addresses both issues simultaneously, converting feather waste into keratin-based biopolymers that are fully biodegradable, compostable, and capable of delivering functional performance comparable to traditional plastics.
Our product portfolio includes biodegradable resins and mulch films designed for packaging and agricultural applications. These materials not only reduce dependence on fossil fuel–based plastics but also enrich the soil when degraded, creating a positive environmental footprint. With support from government bodies, incubators like IIT Kanpur SIIC, and impact investors such as Social Alpha, NovoEarth has developed MVPs and is currently setting up pilot-scale production in collaboration with poultry processing facilities.
The company’s innovative business model, built on backward integration with poultry processors and third-party manufacturing partnerships, allows rapid scalability while reducing capital expenditure. This approach ensures that NovoEarth can deliver competitive, commercially viable solutions to industries urgently seeking sustainable alternatives.
At its core, NovoEarth embodies the principle of waste-to-value, transforming what was once considered waste into high-value, eco-friendly materials. Our long-term goal is to establish a robust ecosystem for sustainable polymers, empowering industries to transition seamlessly to greener materials while contributing to global climate action and circular economy goals.
