For a long time, green hydrogen was the sort of technology you’d expect Nitin Gadkari to talk about—like using plastic waste to build roads—but suddenly green hydrogen is a thing.
But none of these green hydrogen initiatives seems to sufficiently address the main concerns around transport, storage, safety and cost.
Green Hydrogen has existing applications in steel and Oil refining. The demand is huge for these applications and will need large investments to fulfill the demand. Theise industries already have sophisticated infra for conventional hydrogen (grey) hence won’t face safety issues.
Coming to mobility, that ideally shouldn’t be prioritized is what is my opinion.
