If you’ve been following our work at The Locavore—through our stories, recipes, events, and partnerships—you might’ve asked yourself: How can I get more involved? What can I do to be part of this movement of #DoingGoodThroughFood?
We’re excited to share a new way for you to do just that (and so much more!)
Introducing the Local Food Club (LFC)
A nation-wide initiative by The Locavore in collaboration with Rainmatter Foundation!
At its heart, the Local Food Club is a growing movement built by and for passionate food lovers across India. It’s about bringing people together—across cities, towns, and villages—to share meals, swap stories, and celebrate the country’s incredibly diverse food traditions.
Each gathering is informal, volunteer-led, and completely free. Open to everyone—home cooks, curious eaters, students, farmers, neighbours, old-timers, and first-timers alike—the Local Food Club helps foster meaningful friendships and connections through the love of local food.
Whether you’re in a bustling urban centre or a quiet rural town, the idea is simple: gather once a month to connect with others, explore local ingredients, and celebrate food in a way that is joyful, sustainable, and rooted in place.
