Climate Week India is a decentralised, community-led initiative that brought together dozens of partner organisations and thousands of participants across Indian states in 2025. We anchor a movement where partners own their programming while we provide connective tissue and a shared narrative.
Through this platform, we aim to start dialogues, showcase impactful climate initiatives, foster collaborations among civil society, businesses, academia, policymakers, youth, and indigenous communities, and catalyze collective progress toward an equitable, just, and sustainable future.
Climate Week India 2025 revealed extraordinary climate innovation happening across South Asia. We saw mangrove conservation activists, feminist climate researchers, artists using river pigments and youth reimagining waste systems among many others. These were intentionally built to be distributed and grassroots, which led to it over 90 events being run in 31 cities, towns, and villages in one week. Our big-picture goal is to enable decentralised action at the grassroots level.
By centering collaboration, inclusivity, and shared responsibility, we empower local voices to lead solutions that reflect the unique needs and strengths of our communities. The week fosters a spirit of collective action, ensuring that climate strategies are sustainable, equitable, accessible, and rooted in local knowledge.
We’re bringing Climate Week India back this year from September 27th to October 4th. We will share a partner onboarding form soon.
Until then, do take a look at the Impact Report from Climate Week India 2025. And here’s the website (it is currently being updated for this year).
