Output 4: Promotion of Ethical, Sustainable, and Viable Business Enterprises
This quarter, the Timbaktu Collective continued to strengthen the promoted enterprises through improved infrastructure, equipment, and production facilities.
Dharani Processing Unit: To enhance operational capacity and efficiency, the Collective procured two oil rotators, a forklift, and a stitching machine for the farmers’ cooperative. Work on a new Bio-Resource Centre also progressed, with a dedicated shed constructed and flooring completed.
Bhavani Chethana Sangam – Weaving Unit: The unit, which creates handwoven and naturally dyed products such as sarees, dhotis, towels, and garments, strengthened its production facilities with the procurement of a garment steamer, boiling vessels, and bending rods.
These investments mark important steps towards improving production efficiency, strengthening traditional crafts, and supporting sustainable livelihoods through community-owned enterprises.
