Promotion of Community Initiatives
The Sustainable Rural Initiatives (SRI) Project was officially inaugurated on 3rd November 2025, featuring performances of local art forms and addresses by the leadership team. Subsequently, the Timbaktu Collective celebrated its 35th anniversary on 14th November 2025, with a large gathering of approximately 3,000 people; the event included the inauguration of nine thematic stalls showcasing the organisation’s work featuring stalls including organic stall showcasing seeds, organic manure, and equipment; an Enterprises stall; an Ethnovet and livestock stall by Gramsiri; a Kalpavalli stall displaying indigenous seeds from grasslands; a Prathiba stall featuring essential equipment for persons with disabilities and handmade soaps; Bhavani stall showcasing handwoven Ponduru cotton fabric and Jeevani tailored garments; a Children’s Day stall; a cultural stall exhibiting traditional musical instruments and tools; and a Chelimi stall showcasing the natural watershed model. Further, the celebration also featured vibrant cultural programmes.
