:earth_africa: Summary:
F5’s Tech for Good Grants in 2023 are focused on supporting nonprofit organizations that are working to address the disproportionate effects of climate change on Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and/or communities of color. These grants aim to provide greater technology resources to empower nonprofits in their mission for environmental justice.

:mag: Overview:
Despite contributing little to historical greenhouse gas emissions, BIPOC communities are disproportionately impacted by climate change, facing challenges like rising sea levels, extreme heat, and pollution. To help these communities, nonprofits need access to technology tools and services. However, limited funding often hinders their ability to make necessary technology investments. F5 wants to break down these barriers by utilizing technology as an enabler, not a barrier, for nonprofits working towards environmental justice for BIPOC and underserved communities.

:sparkles: Grant Eligibility Requirements:

  • Open to nonprofits in all countries
  • Addressing environmental justice issues related to climate change, pollution, hazardous waste, wildlife conservation/restoration, or environmental education
  • Serving majority BIPOC and/or communities of color
  • Legally registered charitable organizations operating for at least 3 years
  • Funding must be used for technology needs
  • Nonprofits must have a website
  • International nonprofits require completion and approval of the Enhanced Expenditure Responsibility (EER) process conducted by F5’s grantmaking partner, CAF America
  • Funding cannot be used for lobbying purposes

  • Applicants notified of granting status: July
