How do we ensure water resilience in our urban and peri-urban spaces?
We’re excited to share this insightful video on Biome Environmental Trust’s work on Project Ananda Sindhu and Devanahalli Living Labs. The initiative focuses on rejuvenating the local water ecosystem and creating a sustainable water source for the town through innovative groundwater recharge and lake rejuvenation efforts.
In collaboration with local communities and various partners, the Devanahalli Living Labs is a unique learning platform where water management techniques are being tested and demonstrated. This initiative is part of the larger Ananda Sindhu Project, which integrates treated wastewater into the groundwater system via managed aquifer recharge, significantly benefiting Devanahalli’s residents.
Through such efforts, we’re not only addressing the growing water demand but also making significant strides toward creating self-sufficient towns. This model serves as a blueprint for water and climate resilience across other regions too.
