When floods are in progress, everyone is quick to point towards climate change. Yet, when the waters have subsided and it comes to long-term planning to adapt to the changing climate, we fall short.
In the public imagination, Delhi is not a city that floods. But back in 2014, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s previous assessment of climate impacts had named Delhi as highly vulnerable to floods.
