Community Forest Rights & PESA Act Training
Two Camps Organized
31 October (71 Participants) & 10 November (85 Participants)

The CFR and PESA training educated tribal populations in Jhabua on legal rights and governance, empowering them to sustainably manage and protect forest resources. Combining legal awareness with practical exposure, the camp inspired communities to take ownership of resources, fostering leadership for sustainable development and future conservation efforts.

  • Villages hosted discussions on the CFR process, benefits, and steps to claim rights.
  • Meetings were held to evaluate four years of progress in villages where CFR has been successfully implemented.
  • The initiative aims to extend CFR and PESA awareness to 65 new villages across Rama, Petlawad, Meghnagar, and Tanda tehsils.
  • An exposure visit to VAYAM Foundation Palghar, Maharashtra, was scheduled from December 22-25 to provide practical insights into successful community forest management.
  • Monthly training sessions and village-level meetings were planned to ensure consistent community engagement and skill development.
