Gokul Krishna Govindu is a computer engineer and previously worked at Apple in California. Gokul moved back to India in 2016 with a singular mission - alleviating urban environmental challenges by applying technology. His work with Indian municipalities in solid waste and wastewater helped him understand the role of data analytics in ensuring efficient, equitable and affordable urban utility services. Starting in 2020, Gokul and his co-founders began developing SmartTerra’s AI-powered data platform starting with loss-reduction for water utilities.
