We have a small backyard pool here in Denver, and between the dust that blows in and the pollen in spring, the floor needs attention almost daily. I have been looking at robotic pool cleaners for 2026 and trying to work out what actually matters for a place like ours, where the water level drops fast in summer and there is a lot of fine grit rather than big leaves. The thing I keep going back and forth on is whether a model with a fine filter is worth it, or whether those clog too quickly and become a weekly cleaning chore of their own. I also worry about how these units handle a pool that is not perfectly level, since our setup is older. I have only read third-party information online, so I would rather hear from people actually running one through a Colorado season. What has worked for you, and what would you avoid?

Update after checking around more - [Best Pool Cleaners of 2026](https://ratethepick.com/category/pool-cleaners) covers several models with fine filters, which is what our dusty water needs. I’m still unsure whether that filter means constant rinsing here, and our unlevel floor worries me, so I’m not ready to commit yet.
