Initiated in 2024, vartaLeap members co-created regional convenings to inspire and influence local stakeholders to become youth allies by supporting and mentoring young leaders in turning their social change visions into impactful realities. By deep diving into wicked challenges that youth leaders face, we generated insights and actionable steps towards shaping a future where youth leadership is the norm.

This initiative called, **‘Beyond Right and Wrong – Youth Leadership is Changing the Game’** included a national championship where 12 intrapreneurs were selected from 80+ applications through online and in person regional dialogues. These 12 intrapreneurs committed to prioritise climate action as a key strategic focus in their existing work using the ‘Nourishing Now’ principles.

The ‘Nourishing Now’ narrative continued to find expression through the work of 10 of these 12 intrapreneurs, who completed their journey and are integrating climate-positive approaches into their ongoing work, responding to the interconnected psychological, socio-cultural, economic and ecological needs of the communities they engage with.

The work by Intrapreneurs reflects the understanding that climate action is not limited to environmental conservation but can also create opportunities for young people, strengthen local livelihoods and encourage communities to take greater ownership of their natural resources. These approaches connect ecological restoration with livelihood generation, community participation and youth leadership, making climate action more relevant to people’s everyday realities.

Some are working with young farmers to promote natural farming practices, strengthen climate-resilient livelihoods, and build market linkages through exposure visits, learning circles, and community-led farming initiatives. In rural areas, organizations worked on water conservation, plantation drives, groundwater recharge, and community stewardship of natural resources through youth engagement, Gram Sabha mobilization, and collective action.
